Maria and Andrew live in Baltimore and their work at Johns Hopkins is a testament to the intelligent individuals that they are (as is Andrew’s quick wit). But it was Maria and Andy’s sweetness that permeated every aspect of their wedding day. From their full Mass ceremony (they first met at a Church function) to the bouquets her Mom made, everything about their day spoke to what a genuine, authentic and agreeable couple they make. During the service at Our Lady Help Church in Waldorf, Maria’s Philippino heritage was represented with a traditional rope and veil ceremony.

Portraits outside were never a guarantee given that Maryland had not seen anything but snow and cold for months, but on this March day, Andy and Maria enjoyed a few giggles outside by the lake of the Waldorf Hilton Garden Inn, as we stole a moment & took photos – notably all jacketless and without shivering!

Little details showing their considerate nature made for such a loving, relaxed and yet reverent celebration. In fact, Maria’s agreeable and helpful nature had to be “rolled in” a few times, as she was ever so willing to merrily run off on errands, regardless of the fact that everyone around her was willing to do it all for her.

Andy and Maria are so quick to laugh, which made the impact of the astute and hilarious Best Man toast even more endearing. This was followed up by not only a self choreographed 1st dance, but also a surprise dance for both sets of parents to their own original wedding song.

After a dance floor full of willing participants of all ages, dancing to everything from the Chicken Dance to Pharrell William’s “Happy”, the night ended with the most generous hugs.

All my best to you Maria and Andrew!!
