Answers to the questions provided by the bride and groom.

What advice can you give to other couples planning their wedding?

We learned so many things along the way while planning our wedding.  My best advice is to make your wedding a reflection of who you are as a couple.  We entertained a lot and wanted our wedding to reflect our tastes and style. Listen to other people’s ideas gracefully, and incorporate them if you’d like and they are consistent with your vision.  Make sure that what is important to you shines through on your wedding day!

Were there any online recourses that you found especially helpful?

We used WeddingWire and The Knot for the majority of our planning purposes.  They had helpful vendor profiles and reviews, as well as very helpful fashion, decor, and budgeting resources.

What part of the planning process was most fun for you?

We loved working together on all of the details, and it was fantastic to be able to do things for each other in the process.  I really wanted a dreamy light installation, and he created the most beautiful lighting plan for our outdoor dinner.  He really wanted a cake (and not just macaron towers), and I was able to make a cake that he loved.  It was a very special and fun time for us both!

Where did you find inspiration for your wedding?

Mostly Pinterest and Instagram, but also just from our own home and design aesthetic.

What was your favorite wedding moment?

Our ceremony.  Every moment was so special and intimate.  It was a true reflection of who we are as a couple, and we were so honored to share it with our dear friends and family.

What was your favorite part of working with us?

Rodney was an absolute dream to work with for our engagement photos and wedding day.  He is creative and fun and encouraging!  Taking pictures with him seemed like the most natural thing in the world (although during our engagement session and wedding day, temperatures soared over 90 degrees!)
