The Hay-Adams in Washington D.C. is one of the most revered landmarks in the region. The site of the Hay-Adams has long been a popular location for the nations most powerful people to gather as it once served as home to John Hay, the Private Assistant to President Abraham Lincoln and later Secretary of State and Henry Adams, acclaimed author and descendant of Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

Unfortunately the Hay-Adams residences were razed in 1927 but in their place an Italian Renaissance style hotel was constructed and the Hay-Adams Hotel was opened in 1928, immediately becoming a celebrated destination.
